Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, December 5th, 1901 and died December 15th, 1966 (age 65.) Walt has 4 siblings Herbert, Ray, Roy, and Ruth. In 1906 Walt's parents soon grew tired of living in Illinois so they decided to move on a farm outside of Marceline, Missouri. Walt went to school at Park Elemntary. This small school was very important to Walt's life, this was where he started drawing animals and expressing his imagination. Walt's exposure to farming life influenced him throughout his career. In 1911 the Disney's moved from Marceline, Missouri to Kansas City, Missouri. This is where Roy and Walt helped with their dad's newspaper company. Walt and Roy had to wake up at 3:30 AM to fold and deliver newspapers. Also instead of riding trucks to deliver newspapers this company had to walk and deliver them. When it was cold and windy, workers would put a brick over the newspapers so they wouldn't blow away. Sometimes when Walt got really cold he would curl up on someones porch and fall asleep.
Walt looked up to Abraham Lincoln. One day when he came to school he made a stovepipe hat, and put on a fake wart and act like Abraham Lincoln.
